Jeffrey M. Hantes, DO, is a skilled surgeon at Female Health Associates of North Texas. From the office in Fort Worth, Texas, Dr. Hantes utilizes his years of experience in gynecology and urogynecology to provide top-notch care to his patients.
Dr. Hantes attended medical school and completed his residency locally at the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth. He also served as a professor there for five years. Following his residency, Dr. Hantes completed a fellowship in advanced endoscopic and pelvic surgery at the Women’s Hospital of Texas in Houston.
Working with underprivileged and high-risk patients in his residency, Dr. Hantes developed a passion for treating difficult and complex cases. He has always been interested in minimally invasive surgery, female incontinence, and prolapse. He is one of the most highly trained and skilled physicians in North Texas for the treatment of these conditions.
Dr. Hantes provides patients with diagnosis and treatment for many conditions, such as abnormal uterine bleeding, urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, vaginal prolapse, and pelvic pain. With his minimally invasive surgical background, the vast majority of procedures – including hysterectomies – can be done with the advancements in DaVinci robotic surgery.
Dr. Hantes has published several articles in this area and continually attends training for the most advanced treatments in his field. He is active in numerous medical societies and served on hospital committees, and he feels that being a physician is a privilege. He understands that a qualified physician is made up of their expertise and compassion for patients. Dr. Hantes treats his patients like his own mother, sister, or daughter.
Dr. Hantes spends time with his daughter, Kate, when not in the office, boating and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoys golf and any activity that allows him to spend time with his family and friends.
