I went to Dr. Hantes after being told by my pelvic floor therapist that I had a uterine prolapse. This being the possible cause of my overactive bladder. Dr. Hantes pretty much dismissed this concern and asked if I had considered cutting out food and drink irritants. My PFT also requested that she be on speaker phone during the appointment, he also dismissed this request. I ended up making an appointment with a different urogynecologist the following week. He took measurements of the prolapse. Not only did I have a uterine prolapse, but other issues that had not been addressed. I was not really sure i wanted to transition to a male OBGYN due to me thinking how can he understand the female body or my symptoms. However Dr. Hantes walked in introduce himself and for the first time in yrs I found a Dr who listened and didn’t look at me like i was crazy or just pass off my issues. He spoke to me step by step on what his recommendations are and how i felt about it. I will continue to see him for my care and have already recommended family and friends to call and schedule. After such a awful experience years ago, I found Dr Hantes. He is absolutely amazing and so meticulous in his surgical procedure. After only 6 days I am so pleased with my surgery. I’ve had such minimal pain that I’ve only needed tylenol. I have a whole new lease on life! Thank you, Dr. Hantes from the bottom of my heart!
